Stuart is a composer and lead guitar player for the Scottish power metal band Ascension. Their debut album 'Far Beyond the Stars' was released in 2013 through Spiritual Beast, LIMB Music and Universal. The album features strong melodic and guitar-driven elements with highly musical and technical guitar solos. -

Stuart is a composer and keyboardist for the exciting new rock band for kids called Sharky Sharky. Sharky Sharky was formed in response to the seemingly poor landscape of music currently marketed for children - with many aritsts being inapropriate role models for their young fans. The goal is to introduce children to an energetic and fun genre of music where the emphasis is on live performance and a large range of instruments to be inspired to play. -

Stuart also has a strong interest and background in Scottish Folk Music - performing on acoustic guitar and mandolin. Appearing at many local pub music sessions and jams across Scotland and especially on the Isle of Skye which he often visits.

Stuart has begun playing much more acoustic folk and fingerstyle gutiar lately to compliment his many years experience playing classical guitar. He particularly enjoys writing acoustic arrangement of songs not normally heard on acoustic guitar - especially piano pieces.
